From storytelling to distinctive interior design: The deli restaurant Goodman & Filippo tells the fictional story of two boys from different cultures who become friends and together open a restaurant in New York. The charm of this story is reflected above all in the interior design. The concept of the successful travel catering company casualfood is catching on: Around 1000 guests stop at Goodman & Filippo every day. The project was realised at Düsseldorf Airport, security area Gate A/Departure and in only five weeks; as general contractor we took over the complete project development, execution planning and implementation.
“Following GKAD’s specifications, we brought out its Italian-American character,” explains Managing Director Frank Wessels. All the interior design and furniture elements were therefore designed in close cooperation with the architecture firm GKAD. Panelling, bench units, service and counter modules were developed jointly and produced “just-in-time” in our in-house furniture production. Italian marble, buffalo leather for seating, tables in patinated walnut, furniture in green and shabby-chic surfaces make up the atmospheric design code of this food concept and ensure a superior quality of abidance.
