Combining a venerable Renaissance castle with a modern Italian family restaurant – a challenge tailor-made for the Tenbrink team! At “Purino im Schloss Rheydt” in Mönchengladbach, we were faced with exactly this task, and not only did we master it with flying colors, but we also infused it with a lot of passion!
What started as an initial request gradually evolved into a project brimming with meticulous detail, demanding creative solutions for design, atmosphere, and technical requirements from our planning team as well as the on-site crew. For the wall design, which was intended to evoke an Italian feel, we brought in a theater prop designer from Dortmund who transformed the walls and furniture into a rustic vintage setting. We even managed to fulfill the request for greenery on the ceiling despite fire safety concerns. And when it came to the desired tiles with oriental patterns and colors in the Moroccan style, we found a budget-friendly solution by covering each tile with a custom film to make them look like the real thing. The bar counter posed a particular challenge: a curved façade in Italian style, oak shelves, a mirror made of three-dimensional tiles, indirect lighting, and stainless steel components all had to be combined.
A fantastic project and proof of our Tenbrink conviction: There’s no such thing as “can’t be done!”
